Hosted by The Alan Turing Institute in collaboration with Holistic AI, this training programme is designed to support companies and professionals in responsible AI adoption. Part of the BridgeAI initiative, it provides essential knowledge and practical tools to identify and mitigate bias in AI systems.
Participants will be introduced to foundational concepts of AI and high-level strategies for addressing key AI risks. Through real-world examples and interactive discussions, the session introduces fairness concepts and strategies for mitigating bias in AI systems, emphasising its criticality within the broader landscape of AI governance.

After the Introduction Webinar, participants will be able to:
Understand the significance of bias as an AI risk and its placement within AI governance. Identify and discuss real-world examples of AI bias. Recognise the sources of bias throughout the AI lifecycle and their impacts. Distinguish between individual and group fairness, applying these concepts to case studies. Gain insight into current regulatory frameworks and tools for bias mitigation in AI systems. Evaluate trade-offs between bias mitigation and other AI risk verticals. Who should attend?
