      About the course
      Organisations that manage risks effectively are better positioned to protect themselves and success in growing their business. The challenge for any organisation is to integrate best practices into daily activities and apply it across all functions.
      BSI’s risk management training course on the international standard ISO 31000:2018 will help with this, mitigating risks when developing or adopting AI solutions and empowering organisations to establish effective strategies, improving efficiencies, performance and stakeholder confidence.
      You will learn:
      Risk management principles and framework, as described in ISO 31000:2018 The importance and benefits of ISO 31000:2018 for your organisation How to protect value in your organisation by managing risks and improving performance Understand governance and leadership role in managing risk at all levels As part of the Innovate UK BridgeAI programme, this course is free for SMEs in the key sectors and offers flexibility to choose from either a 3.5 hour, self-paced e-learning course or a one-day virtual, instructor-led training course.
      When you sign up for the online, interactive eLearning course, you’ll have access for 12 months. For the instructor-led course, you can choose to attend dates over the next 12 months. Once completed, you’ll be awarded an internationally recognised training certificate.
      Who should attend?
      This training course is valuable to organisations of all sizes, at any stage of AI development or adoption and would be useful to anyone involved in the planning, implementing, maintaining, or supervising of an ISO 31000 risk management framework.
      It is an introductory course designed for anyone looking to develop their skills and understand more about risk management systems for their business.

      This is an available date for the BSI digital standards training course: Implementation of risk management, ISO 31000:2018 (instructor-led). This is a two day course conducted through virtual instructor-led sessions.

      About the course
      In this two-day, virtual instructor-led course you will be supported on how to implement risk management processes into your organisation, including for introducing new technology and AI solutions.
      You will learn how to:
      Conduct a baseline review of an organisation’s current position and identify gaps with regard to ISO 31000:2018 Implement a risk management framework and processes Prepare an implementation plan to help your organisation align to the guidelines of ISO 31000:2018 Interpret the relationships of principles, framework and risk process, based on the guidelines of ISO 31000:2018 (from an implementation perspective) As part of Innovate UK’s BridgeAI programme, this course is free for SMEs in the key sectors and offers flexibility to choose training dates over the next 12 months. Upon completion of the course you’ll be awarded an internationally recognised certificate.
      This course requires a level of understanding of ISO 31000:2018 so it is recommended you have attended BSI’s risk management introduction training course. Alternatively, you have the choice of a pre-reading pack to provide you with some foundational information.
      Who should attend?
      The course would be useful to organisations at any stage of AI development or adoption and is intended for managers and prospective implementers of risk management – for example those that need to implement a risk framework for the introduction of new technologies.
      This course is also suited for someone who wants to develop skills and knowledge and wishes to gain an internationally accredited certification.
      What you’ll gain
      The capabilities to assist your organisation in implementing a risk management framework. Provide confidence in conducting a baseline review, identify gaps, and start preparing a plan aligned to the guidelines of ISO 31000:2018.       Our Discover Digital Transformation training programme is designed with decision-makers in mind, and aims to help your business to explore digital, data-driven and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, help you to decide what’s right for your organisation and build an action plan to become digital-ready.
      This training course is fully funded by the Innovate UK BridgeAI programme, so is free at the point of delivery.
      Who is this for?
      The programme is designed for businesses or organisations of any size in agriculture, creative industries, construction or transportation, who want to enhance their data and AI knowledge and begin the road to adoption. For example, but not limited to:
      Decision-makers Production managers Business analysts Business development managers Heads of operations How does it work? 
      The programme consists of five sessions in key technology areas which can be taken individually as drop-in sessions or followed as an entire series. To access the sessions, you will need to register to the Hartree Centre Training Portal.
