ADViCE exists to bring together an ecosystem of AI companies, industrial adopters, policy makers and investors to support, promote, and co­ordinate the adoption and diffusion of AI decarbonisation applications.
Funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and delivered by Digital Catapult, Energy Systems Catapult, and the Alan Turing Institute, ADViCE is working to build an ecosystem around the potential for AI to help solve decarbonisation challenges through reports, events, and tools & resources, building momentum for innovation.

The rapid growth of AI has the potential to aid decarbonisation and help us reach net zero through optimising resources and enabling the energy transition. However, the uptake of AI also comes with a rapidly growing carbon footprint. Training large models, powering data centres, and producing specialised hardware all demand significant energy and material resources.
